DSE booster and master cylinder
I saw a dse brake booster and master cylinder, do they still sell them? Is the master cylinder off a c5 corvette?
Thanks Matt |
They just put them back on their site. I ordered mine today, they have them in stock also:thumbsup:

The master cylinder & booster they are using is very close to the s10's, bravada's, and the Isuzu hombre's ect. around years 98-00 or so.
The only thing I see different is the lines going in are on the engine side rather than the DS fender, but I listed the two different parts numbers below and one is the correct side like DSE shows. #MC390571 (or) #MC390572 is the master cylinder parts numbers. $104 new on gm parts used Boosters can be found on ebay for $20-$40 bucks. I am not sure how the booster mounts up though. DSE may have added something to make them bolt up to the firewall, but it is hard to tell. |

Yah, the price did jump up a little, got mine on friday and it's bolted in now. Seems to fit well. Now I got to tackle the brake lines.

the dse master/vacuum cylinder combo for the 69 camaro does have an aluminum master. The ports exit on the driver fender side, not the engine side. The foward port is for the front brakes. On a stock master i believe the front port is for the rear brakes. Dse said the master was an aimco brand (not sure if aimco is spelled correctly).
