Car builders in Northern CA?
 

I have a buddy that lives around the San Fran area. Can anyone recommend a good custom shop? He has a 67 Galaxie.

There are a cuple up this way in Sacramento Area - Roseville Rod & Custom, Gearhead Garage. Both of these are reputable and have a good reputations. Depeneding on the direction he wanting to go and what kind of $$ he wanting to spend. Gearhead from what I have seen is more inline with the Pro-Touring, really nice cars that you are not afraid to beat on. Everything I have seen from Roseville Rod & Custom have been showcars more than anything. Very nice cars - but something you would probably not want to beat the snot out of. I'm sure there are others - if I think of more I'll chime back in.

We do alot of work for guys in the bay area. If we do the work he is looking for tell him to call me. I have 2 cars in here right now from up there.

I would add Goodies Speed Shop to the list. They do everything from engine builds, to suspensions build to full-on car builds. The Goodies crew is building a ground up pro-tour 69 Camaro that is parked in the showroom right now. Good, knowledge folks. They are located in San Jose. Here is their web site:

I'll throw our hat into the ring also, Campbell Auto Restoration (aka CAR).
We are located in Campbell (San Jose) CA and are a 1 stop shop as we can do the whole build in house encluding fab, suspension, brakes, body, paint, etc...

Ill vouch for CAR. Mine runs like a raped ape right now, and they have been great with me. They really have some sweet cars. I can also vouch for Jason at Gearhead as well. He's a good guy and a friend, and does a great job. Great guys, and great shops, both of them.
