DSE 4-link kits

As many of you are aware, DSE has released their 4-link kit for the 67-69 Camaro's/Firebirds. There are pics and info here:

http://www.detroitspeed.com/
The kit retails for $1495 minus shocks/springs and includes everything else needed for install. Marquez Design is selling them at an introductory price of $1360. We are now taking orders for these. You will not be charged until they ship. Freight costs aren't known at this time but for the West Coast guys figure app. $130. or so. The further East you go the cost drops.

Production should be caught up and shipping should start around the first of August.

They are working on a kit for the 68-74 Nova's which should show up towards the end of August.

Jody, does the kit utilize DSE's standard shock crossmember?

Bill,

It uses a different upper shock crossmember than the standard minitub kit, plus should be installed straight instead of angled for staggered shocks. However it can be adapted over to work, if you've already got their minitub kit installed. Kyle has three cars in the shop that he has to do; the kit came out after they had started a standard mini-tub!

The Quadra-link kit comes with the correct crossmember, so a guy needs just this kit and the tubs/shocks to do the rear of the car.

Hmmmm..... The wheels are turning, as I haven't installed my crossmember yet.

If you haven't installed it yet now is the time to make the change. I wish I was at your point. The springs/shackles, etc. could be sold or returned, although the freight from you might be a killer!

I am sure that this is to broad but I am planning on using the DSE mini tub kit to do the rear suspension for my Camaro. One reason is that I want to keep the stock appearance so that way when you look under the car you will see leaf springs. But if this new setup is far superior to it then I may think about using it. So the question is how much better is this setup then the other? I know that this topic has been talked about before but since that we now know exactly how this setup is maybe we or us can now say some more specifics.
