Just another red Camaro
 

I spotted this bad ass 67 Camaro at the Car Craft Summer Nats. Unfortunately, the owner was never around. The people that were with him told me it was a twin turbo (obviously, lol) 588 BBC that layed down around 2,000hp. In my opinion, it was the baddest car at the event (even if it can't turn :D ) that had around 4,000 cars.

I forgot to mention, there's a portable chassis dyno on site for every Car Craft event, and on Saturday afternoon they were making a pull with a street rod on the bottle that was making almost 1,000 RWHP. During the pull, it broke the straps an ALMOST went off the dyno. The operator managed to stop is as it went part way over the edge. I was about a block away at the time, but the guys I was with were there watching it and said it was chaos as people scrambled to get out of the way. They started doing pulls about an hour and a half later, but the area in front of the portable dyno was blocked off. Crazy stuff.

Oh yeah, and it was HOT. At 5pm, my truck said it was 97 degrees.

Hey Scott did u get any shots of the orange 69 with the Corvette engine? My camera went dead just as I was trying to take some.

But of course. :D I talked with Kurt, the owner of AutoKraft (the shop that built this 69) for quite a while. Great guy, super friendly, and really knows his cars. Look for more on this car coming soon. :thumbsup:

Hah.... That's nothing. On my way down to Buttonwillow Raceway this weekend it said that it was 91 outside. At 11 pm. That's hot. Oh, and yesterday at the track, our truck said it was 113 outside. That pool at the motel was damn nice.

ANYway.... Sounds like you had a great time at a great show. Don't you just love seeing new cars?

I tried taking pics of some chevelles, but I couldn't get all the babes to stay away long enough to get some good pictures of the cars... apparently camaros don't have that problem ;) :D

Yeah, but just 5 months ago, we were -30 degrees with a windchill of -50. :rolleyes:
