69 Firebird/Camaro Hybrid possible
Hey guys new kid on the block, I'm just about to embark on my firebird project...and have heard from others that it could be quite easy to swap the front end( fenders, front clip, etc) of a 69 firebird with that of a 69 camaro is this possible without much modification? Can anyone help?...Cheers, Darren

I think it's a huge mistake but it's your car.

Ugh. Why?
I believe that the door line does not match. And you still would have the rear quarters and tail pan to deal with. Again, why? If you want a Camaro, I would recommend buying one. Otherwise, you will end up with a half-breed that has limited value. Phil |
Why would you want to destroy the value of your car? If you plan on never selling it, and want something completely different that will have everyone scratching their heads, then go for it. No offense, but I personally just don't get it?? You started the thread with "Firebird project". Keep it that way, besides, the world needs more cool PT Firebirds.

The reason? I've been looking for a 69 camaro project for over two years now and also live in Vancouver, Canada and have found it to be near impossible to find a 69 project car around. This is to be a keeper car for myself as well as a full custom build.. devalue the car? for sure, but it's just to throw around the option...the mate that I purchased the car from also works for a local classic parts shop and rekons that it's only the front half metal of the car that is different...why couldn't there be more 69's available here.....DAMN

I know I guy here in Sweden that did that. Technically it is no problem to fit the front sheetmetal. I think that the doorline will fit, some have also used Firebird rearquarters on Camaros to get s smooth fender in front of the rear wheel.

Dude, dont give up on your Firebird. Firebirds, I think, have cooler looking front clips then Camaros.
