Need advice on AiRRide installation
3 Attachment(s)
I have tried to move it around so I could get it as close to the frame as possible, but this is the best I could get it. I am not saticfied with this result, so I have not drill the holes in the frame yet. Am I wrong or should it be like this??
Looking forward to hearing from you guys Michael, Europe.. |
It should probably be a little tighter, unfortunately tolerances in the 60's were pretty big. Are these the factory frame rails? If you center the crossmember, how much gap is there on each side?

Thanks for you answer.
It is still the original frame rails there is on the car. One site itīs around 4,5mm and the other site itīs 5,5 mm. It donīt know what it is in inch. Should I make a plate to put between the frame and the mount? |
I had the same problem on my G-Bar. I thought I was the only one. I had to weld in some small shims to make it fit properly.

That is about 3/16" per side. I would probably slide a plate in there. You could weld it in if you like too.
What year Mustang is this? |
