Mini Tube on a 71 Camaro
Hello,
Looking for some help, I would love to fit a 335/ 18 on the rear of My 71 camaro but not sure how big of a project that will be. Has anyone gone through the process the can spare some advice. If this is to big a task I will have to go down to a 295/18 (should fit without any massaging) Thanks  |
i put 335\18 on 18x12.5 on my 73 camaro.

Work involved for the 335
Hello Rick,
Would you care to share the details on what was involved to fit rim and tire and do you have any good photos of rear suspension and wheels, Thanks  |
Its easier to do than a 1st gen. The DSE tub kit makes it easier.
Im not sure about Rick but it took a 1" frame notch to clear a 335 on a 12" wide. Backspace is around 8 3/8" with a stock rearend. You would have to narrow the rear housing to get anything less than that. |
How is it easier than a first gen? I have a 71 Z28 RS camaro that will be getting minitubs which looks to be about the same work as a first gen. I need to replace my outer tubes as well due to some bad patch work. Pictures and details would be nice to have for this little project.

Year One Kits
Hello,
I see Year one sells a kit for $2500, has anyone ever used this kit. just wondering if it's Good, Bad or Ugly, they make in sound so easy. Thanks |
Good kit dont forget the narrowed tank is required or a fuel cell in the trunk. You may want to check out the quadralink with the mini tubs.
