I am starting a new job :D . I landed a entry level Service Tech position at one of the local Chevrolet dealerships. I am really excited :yes: .

Thanks guys :) . An annoying amount of people that I know are not as enthusiastic about it as I am. "Why are you excited about an entry level position?", "I thought you were going to school for autobody!?! Why didn't you get a job doing that?", and "Well, you will get a lot of experience doing oil changes." have been the most common responses :rolleyes: . I guess they don't see the bigger picture, so I just tell them "it pays more than I am making now and it gets my foot in the door" even though there is WAY more to it than that.

Sorry, had to vent a little. Doesn't matter, even knowing I will have to turn wrenches on freaking Aveos can't keep me from being excited :woot: .

get you foot in the door , then try to transfer to the body shop . i have been a service tech , then parts and service manager , then bodyshop manager for 14 yrs . only jobs i have had have been at dealerships . and from my experence the best pay for a tech is bodyshop .
