New Rear and New Ceramic Paint

2 Attachment(s)
Huy guys, just wanted to share some good news. I got my new rear painted last week and I tried some new paint from Eastwood. It's there Ceramic 2K chassis paint. Goes on real nice and you can tell it's hard as heck. Kinda reminds you of Por 15 but much better and UV protected.. Comes in Gloss and Semi Gross. I went with the gloss to make it easier to clean and it really turned out nice.

Looks great, I was just reading about that stuff last night. Did you spray it? I was thinking about it for the bottom of our cab. The truck will be black, so I thought it might be a good choice. Thanks.

yea I sprayed it, pretty easy , drys quick. put the first coat on lite, then follow with 2 wet coats. I let it hang for a week to be safe.

Wow, nice rear…I mean your rear end looks great…well, you know what I mean! :_paranoid

You did not waste anytime getting it painted! Just last week, we talked about the best color combination. Thanks for helping me decide what color / brand to paint my rear.

I'm thinking of using the same stuff. What size tip did you use to spray it?

bigtyme1 04-09-2008 09:04 PM

I used a SATA 2000, 1.3

Take a hammer to it and see how well it holds up. I'd like to know how tough it is, ;) .
