68 camaro power rack?

Any suggestions on a bolt on a power rack-and-steering kit for a 68 camaro??
I have looked at flaming river kits for about $1,500; and it seems you have to replace the whole steering column..?? Any alternatives?

Unisteer is the only one i would buy...and I did!

i have doing a lot of searching on the same subject. Like Anthony said, Unisteer is the only way to go if thats the route you want to take.

How was the install? Was it actually just bolt in? How much does a power rack affect the handling and steering?

Is there alternative routes to take instead of a power rack-and-pinion to achieve similar handling and steering?

Thanks guys, I went to unisteer website and found all the other questions I had. Thanks for directing me to the right place; looks like they have everything I need.

Check out DSE and ATS for your suspension/steering needs. If you want to update your stock subframe. You could always get into the aftermarket frames.

as for replacing the steering column that is not necessary depending on the level of fabrication available to you and the length of your steering column. there are a lot of after market Universal joints that can help your adapt rack and pinion.

we pieced together this setup

I also used a Unisteer, and I'm happy- big upgrade in steering feel and it's nice and tight now. Another bonus is alot more header clearance. My only complaint is with the steering shaft- you may need to add a 3rd u joint, but even thats no big deal.

Thanks for the pictures. Not as difficult that I thought it would be.;)
