Does any one know if the control module box has to be grounded where it is mounted under the dash?

Figured it out, my module was mounted to a metal plate (looked stock) then mounted to a grounded location, once I noticed the plate was not part of the original module it became obvious my question was most likely confusing and did not make much sense...
