67 Camaro Wheel/Wilwood fitments

I know this is an old question, but I just bought a set of Billet Specialties wheels with 17x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. I also have a wilwood disc brake kit i will be putting on the front. Everything else is stock. This should fit ok....right?

Assuming the brakes are the 4 piston calipers I can assure you the 17's will clear them. I've never tried the 6 piston calipers so I can't say firsthand that they will fit, but they should. As for the wheel widths, 9 1/2 will be very close, but will fit most suspensions PROVIDED YOU WERE ACCURATE IN YOUR BACKSPACING MEASUREMENTS!! Good luck and I hope this helps.

oh, i forgot to mention the backspacing for the 17x8s is 4.5' and the 18x9.5 is 5.5'. how does that sound?

The rears will be fine with a stock width axle. I prefer 4.75"-5" bs on 8" wheels on the front, your 4.5" bs should work if you don't lower the car too much.

Oh that information is great! I did want to lower it all around though. About how many inches do you think I could get away with in the front?

Just to give an idea...here are the Wilwood discs with 4 piston calipers all around and 18x8 (5" bs) and 18x9.5 (5.75 bs). as far as lowering, get it all together, look at it and decide then, but use lowering springs in the front instead of dropped spindles.
