Morrison 1st Gen Rear Suspension

OK- so we are just about done with the tri 4-bar and I can't keep the secret any more - Fully welded rear subframe to replace the stock unibody rails that fits under the stock floor and you can keep your stock fuel tank!

Wow looks nice. :unibrow:

How much welding and fabrication are needed?
Can you mini-tub your new suspension w/o cutting frame rails??

CraigMorrison 05-02-2008 11:42 AM

No, this is a replacement for the sheetmetal unibody rails.

production date? any ideas?

Great looking piece, Craig. I like how you mounted the sway bar.

Is there much room for mufflers/tailpipes?

Well, I think............Actually I know, that if Art and crew design it that it will be awesome. Adding soild rails to the back of the car no doubt has distint advantages. Also, it looks like they are taking a no compromise link location only possible by adding the crossmember.

I am eagerly awaiting the labor study. The labor of the installation for most buyers hiring the installation out will be added to the kit cost. And total kit cost is important to many buyers, but not to others. Also, there are many talented home builders on these forums that not only are capable of installing this set up, but they would enjoy the process, and it cost them nothing but materials.

If I am not mistaken (gosh I hoping I am not speaking out of church) this car will be set up for 4 and 3 link arrangments for TRUE back to back testing. I think I will fly out for this one!

So what do I think..... I think if this suspension is as good as other Morrison deisigns, I see a lot of conversations like this:

Customer: So Frank, What rear suspension do you suggest?

Frank: Well, if you don't mind the fabrication and want a no compromise suspension..............

Craig
Will the rear subframe be able to be purchased seperately. Also very curious as to how the exhaust fitments will be. Got pictures? I spoke with kevin on friday and he mentioned something new is in process for the rears Im assuming this is what hes talking about.
