ls2 fuelpump

I have a 05 GTO ls2/t56 going in a 67 camaro i also have the stock fuelpump/tank from the gto. was wondering if anyone has tried to swap this system in a stock 67 tank (new)? The gto setup seems to be internally regulated with only the supply line and vent lines leaving the tank.

they use a venturi setup in the GTO tank. As long as the Camaro tank is deep enough it should be doable. I remember the GTO tank being a lot deeper than a Camaro setup, so I'm not sure if it ( the pump setup) will physically fit or not.

ls2 fuel pump

thanks for the reply . the actual pump setup is spring loaded with about 2-21/2" of travel/compression . there doesnt seem to be anything affected by compressing it i.e just wires & hoses bridgeing the gap. i will figure out how much of a sump is needed to install the pump and whether it is practical to do. if it does work can someone explain exactly how a venturi system works so i dont screwup something that gm engineered ? thanks again for the help jason
