Help! AC compressor to DSE frame / Fbody brackets??

Hello!!!

Is it possible to fit VA sanden compressor to LSx engine with Fbody brackets ? I know VA sells adapter brackets witch mounts Sanden compressor to stock fbody ac braket but i heard from DSE at it wont clear the frame and i should get 3000 bucks custom system :willy:

Is there any solution for this ? Shorter custom adapter wich will mount sanden compressor closer ??

I can't say specifically for your application, but I modified the brackets that came with my Vintage Air kit so that it was mounted low and hugged the block. Mine isn't an LSx and I have no experience with them so I'm not sure if you would be able to do something similar with your install. I didn't like the look of having it way up top away from the engine is why I did mine down low and I had to have it hug the block because of the engine plate mounts on the Chris Alston's subframe I bought.

I'm on the same boat. There is nothing available that keeps the Fbody location and clears the DSE sub. There are mounts that move it up top from S&P and ebay which you could find at the end of this thread but I'm not digging the look too much.

I like the look of the stock acc. mounts, but will probably go with VA's kit which I think sells for a little over $2k. ATS's kit looks killer but it's almost double the price of VA's...

March LS1 kit looks very nice in black also

He dont have DSE frame but i think hes quite close to it with morrison frame.

I have an mockup engine and mock up brakets. As soon as get sanden compressor i let you know does it fit.

Frank, i know you have those killer drive systems for sale but they kill my budjet too. There must be at least something oem stuff we can use :_paranoid
