Does anyone know who makes the rear window "supports" or what they may be called? I'm looking for something like this for my car as well.

That's Dirk Vanzuuk's car. I do believe he custom made those.

Might be a good product for one of our vendors to develope, should be fairly easy to design and produce.

Thanks Steve sent him a PM.

I'd definitely be in for a set if one of the vendors produced them

Do you have plastic windows you don’t need them with glass

They look cool even with glass.. it's more of a homage to the old TA cars. I've also seen billet tabs on the front glass to give the same look.

I under stand its for looks in this case I guess I am just getting to be too much of a racer to put things on my car unless they are functional. On racecars with plastic windows they need the bars behind the windows so they don’t buckle and brake. But to put them on top of a glass window I don’t under stand its going make noise when you drive down the road and the car flexes, it will scratch the glass and also hold dirt between it and the glass. I have also used the little tabs we use those on cars that go really fast so the windows have some sort of mechanical fastener more so than just glue its not for looks cause they look awful its for function.

I Don’t mean critical or a jerk I am just getting tired of little trinket things on these cars that are some times very expensive and don’t make you car go any faster but just look cool. I guess that’s why I don’t come here much any more.

I guess that's the difference between a sport (racing) and a hobby (hot rodding). To you this is a sport and ANYTHING that doesn't pertain to making the car go is pointless. That's fine, but many of us derive joy for the full spectrum of the hobby. We dig driving our cars, some of us drive them pretty hard. But, we also enjoy making them look cool, or nice, or giving them hints of race heritage.

We may not be up for trading paint while trying to get better lane position, doesn't mean we're doing it wrong. Expensive is relative... hell, I KNOW Dirk doesn't have a bunch of money in his ride. Besides, trinkets, widgets and whatnot are fine, especially if they don't hurt performance.

Since when did "looking cool" become a bad thing in hot rodding?

Different strokes for different folks. They suit my car quite well. If I ran a lexan window would you feel better?

And I believe Dirk's camaro is amazing...

Build what you want to build and let me build mine.

Nice camaro Rouge!

Absolutely Bad ass and almost the oposite of everything else on here.

Cheap steel wheels instead of 1200$ custom ones is an Awsome look!
