Backspacing for 18" wheels on a 72 camaro?
Need some input asap! please help.. i have wilwood dynalite 12.19, oem spindles, hotchkis springs.. cut. and i'm thinking 5" backspace. they are budnik wheels with a 1" pad.. any thoughts? i want to tuck the tires a bit also.. thanks for any input

I assume we are talking about the front wheels since you mention spindles. I also assume we are talking about a 8" wheel? The one inch pad will clear the brakes easy on that brake kit. A 5" backspace is a bit of overkill, but you did say you want to tuck them a bit which would probably be right on the money.

yeah sorry for the vague description. they are the fronts, i'll be running a 245/40/18 and they are 18" x 8". the wheels come standard with a 1" pad, they clear the brakes by alot. i think the hub makes the wheel come out about a 1/4". i'm also running a hotchkis sway bar with stock control arms. i think 5" of backspace will be enough, i just wanted to double check with all of you out there to make sure. thanks for the input, let me know if all of this sounds like it will work.
