67 c10 project

Well i have been busy. I put my other project on hold because i need quite a bit more money to finish it they way i want so i decided to build another truck because i had all the suspension parts from an earlier build and then after the truck is finished I plan on showing it a little then selling it to fund my c5 corvette truck project. Anyways here are some pics of what i have got done so far. I still have a few things to do but i think i will always have a few more things to do;) .

The frame has a porterbuilt front crossmember with modified upper control arm mounts and modified air ride tech strong arms, shockwaves, cantilever rear suspension, trianglated 4 link, 5" ride height, narrowed track width so i can drive it low and do a full turn.

Looks like a good start Any ideas on how the body and interior will be done?

Well there will be tons of things modified on the body, the exhaust is going to come out right before the rear tire out the side of the bed, the dash is going to be hand made as well as the center console. I still have alot of work left as you can see.

I got the cab on yesterday to make sure everything fits perfect and the wheels are centered in the fenders at dump.

My ride height is right about 5" and that is measured to the lowest point of the truck which is the pinch welds on the rockers. At dump it sits at about 1.5" from the ground to the pinch welds. I didn't want it to lay frame or rocker because if i ever pop an airbag now i can atleast drive it off the road unless there is a rock thats 1.5" tall sitting in the road. Then i am screwed:willy: I am getting about 7" of lift in the front and about 7.5 in the rear.

They wheels are Foose Nitrious. They stopped making them with grey centers so i bought a set of chrome ones and then had the centers powdercoated with a custom charcole grey we mixed together.

Thanks for the complements!

FINALLY PROGRESS!!!!!! I got my gas tank bent, welded and installed. Well almost I still have to weld on the top piece but i have to wait for parts to finish it completely. I went a little different on the install. Instead of just bending some alluminum and making an "L" bracket i decided to take 1 3/8 solid round steel, alluminum and make my mounting pieces from that. The steel piece is welded to the frame and then the alluminum piece on the end is welded to the tank. It has been tapped and helicoil's were installed to give a little extra strength but I didn't drill all the way through. So it is still sealed from the inside of the tank. I put nylon washers inbetween because after everything is powdercoated I didn't want to chip anything getting it installed and since i machined some spacers it makes it really easy to install. Let me know what you think. I wanted to be different but still have it clean looking.

Anyways heres the pics
