Just got one upped!
 

I went to my sisters house for fourth of july as our family always does since she lives on the cliffs overlooking Dana Point harbor and every 4th the city of Dana Point tows a barge out to the middle of the harbor and shoots off fireworks. I was standing outside talking to one of my cousins when my uncle pulls up in a brand new red Z06!!

"OK! Fine!" I think and my uncle starts letting me check out the car. He's pretty anal about his cars so I'm surprised when he hands me the keys and lets me take it for a spin. WOOHOO!! THAT was fun! Didn't get to really get on it since he was in the passenger seat but definetely a precursor for what I have in store for me!:unibrow:

So we park the car and head inside. There is my brother in law at the door greeting everyone and as we walk up he says "Hey! Go in the garage! I have a surprise to show you!". Now my brother in law is a real car guy and I've been sort of perplexed as to why he hasn't had a sports car or hotrod(I don't count his 7 series BMW as a real sports car!) for a few years now although I know he's been pretty busy doing commercial real estate. My Uncle and I head over to the garage and find this:

For the uninitiated that is a Ferrari F430. Here's a better picture of it!

I'll admit that I had a hint of jealousy at both of them but after a while I thought about it and I was happy for them!:captain:

Dont think you got 1-up'd at all......park either of those next to your NOVA and they dont compare. :cool:

To each his own...they are both awesome cars and I would love to have either...or both, but they aren't a hand crafted custom car like you will soon be driving.

I agree - both are awesome pieces of machinery, but in mind don't compare to your Nova.

Stick with what you've got.

Agree with the others. Very nice rides, but if we wanted that we would just save up (for a very long time on the F430) and go buy it. Much cooler to build a very special one of a kind like yours and so many others on this forum. Stay the course!

John did you get to drive the 430??? I don't care what car is on this site it DOES NOT even come close to a 430!!! The technology in that car is mind blowing.

The interesting question is when you get the nova done take the 430 and the nova to a cruise night and park next to each other. Which one gets the most attention???

From a technology and performance standpoint, yeah, the Ferrari is phenomenal. I would just prefer the Nova. Maybe I'm dumb, but it just suits me more. I'd like to drive the Ferrari, but not own it! :)

Unfortunately, No! The driveway was clogged with everyone elses cars so there was no way for him to pull it out. Good thing there wasn't a fire!:_paranoid :lol:
