68 Charger
Well my Dads very good friend Mike came over and we took out all wiring and laid the new painless kit in and he hinted around to getting it painted instead of throwing it together before WSP96thTB. It started with me jokingly asking him how much he would charge me to paint the car since after a large amount of purchasing has left me with no paint/ body money. When he came over I asked him bottom line how much and he said to me "Cody I knew your dad very well, you pay for the supplies and we will get the car painted". My jaw hit the ground and I had an ear to ear smile. This isn't some Macco job he will do any metal replacement and give me beautiful paint job. With WSP96thTB coming up 07-28-08 I will live on site mon-fri limiting me to 5a-10a on Saturdays do get it ready. But at least I'll be doing it right the first time.

Your Dad is obviously remembered as a good man. Your job now is to keep those memories alive and to earn yourself the same respect that he enjoyed. At some point, your Dad's friend Mike will need something. Be the one to step up for him. Also, take every opportunity to pay it forward. When you get the chance to help someone, do it and expect nothing in return. Someday your kids will bask in the respect that you've earned.
We need some pics of that ride, dude. |
Thank you. He is a great guy and I look foreward to helping him out when he needs it.
