??? Fire Damage
I was just currious. Does anyone have experience with buying a car with fire damage? What concerns do i have, even if i rottisserie the car. The car look straight but is the integrity of the metal changed or is this a stupid thought :)

That's tough. I'd avoid the situation all together, depending on how severe the damage was.
Heat can do a number of things to sheetmetal. First and foremost is warping of panels, secondly it can make it very brittle and weak depending on the situation. Yuck. |
Thank you!
I havent really checked it out good yet. Crazy story, i found this 69ss in a field on day and tracked the guy down. He sounded interested in possible selling. It had not been burnt yet. It was in a field with some light flash fuels around it but nothing major. the car was already gutted so i didnt care. Two weeks later a wild fire ran through there and he lost both of his houses. I feel for the guy! I havent had the heart to go talk to the guy, but the car hasnt left my thoughts. I was just curious if it was even worth it. Thank you!
