Well we have two projects going on in the shop that getting very similar frames. We bent up the rails and then layed out all the suspension pick up points in Soildworks and cut out the plates on the waterjet. After we did that we made all the slotted gusset plates to go inbetween the frame in Solidworks and then waterjet them also.

We are updating our website currently if you would like to see more.

We are debating doing a Camaro shop car, that is all business. The only reason for the body is so we can drive it on the street. The Camaro wheelbase is very similar to the corvette. If something like that interests you for the Camaro performers let me know we are starting it currently with left over Corvette, LSX and kinsler parts we have laying around. There will be nothing on the car unless it makes it stop fast or go fast.

I am the (proud) owner of one of the frames that you see above. I started the frame concept with a sketch on a napkin.... then I modeled it in SolidWorks..... and now Rodger and I are refining the original concept to what you see here. His awesome crew at Ironworks (a.k.a. NovaWorks) are making it a reality!

I will start a 'project post' soon to introduce the project!

Thanks guys. Johnny and Erik have done some nice fab work on these 2 chassis's. Eric ( HWY NOVA ) is really creative and makes my job fun. I'm pretty excited about this project also. Building parts in Solidworks has really opened my eyes to the possiblities. I cannot wait for the first guy I can get to believe that we made the slots in the frame with a bent hole saw.
