Stock bell or scattershield

With 650 to 700 HP from a LS equipped T56, would you guys run a stock or a Mcleod bell housing. I know in the old days it was crazy to run without a scatter shield, but I see more and more high HP cars with stock bell housings.

Better safe than sorry! No need to be pulling pieces of clutch and bellhousing out of your right foot!:(

I agree.....better safe than sorry. They will complicate things but the quicktime are smaller which I have on my car. Really a pretty nice piece.

Todd did you have any fitment problems with the Quicktime bell housing? did it push the trans back further in the tunnel?

Wayne,
I never had a stock bellhousing so I don't know. Plenty of bellhousing to tunnel, z bar, header, starter clearance with it though. I had about .015 runout on mine. Needed offset dowels but that's not to rare on a blow proof bellhousing from my understanding. I think all my labor centering it paid off since she shifted super nice today.
