I am looking for a 5-6 speed overdrive transmission capable of a reliable 800-1000 hp/ft lbs

I think Keisler can build them that stout.

Hey Chevzilla, you can't just come on here and ask a question like that without telling us what you're building. :D

Or how about a paddle shifted 4L80e with a gear vendors overdrive :)

Just thinking outside the box.. after all he didn't say if he wanted a manual or automatic transmission..

For that matter he could go with a bulletproof 4 speed maunual trans and a gear vendors unit..

The possibilities are endless..

o yea sorry a manual for sure and im in the planning (and saving up money :willy: ) stage of a twin turbo big block 68 chevelle.
im looking at the World Products MarlinX block and head so far. Im gunna go way overboard on strength so nothing breaks lol

What kind of tranny does Stuart Adams' Pro-Charged 69 Camaro have in it?
it looks like it would have a good amount of power.
For wheels and tires i would probly have kinesis 18x10 in the front and 19x12 in the rear and im undecided for tires but i would probly go with some nitto nt555s or michelin polit sports or somthing of that nature. but if i ever did decide to take it 2 the strip i would get some micky thompson sportsman or sportsman pro tires on like a 15x14 or 15x12 cragars.
thats the closest i would probly get to slicks. I saw that g-force has a t-56 that can withold a good 900 hp and 800 ft lbs. I could live with 900 hp and 800 ft lbs if i got smaller wastegates.
I was looking into traction control systems too cause theres no way i could hold down that much torque and hp. would that have any part in transmission life?

Stuarts car has a TKO and it was flawless. But the car doesn't run slicks. The T56's can be built very strong as you said. A traction control system like I'm going to run will help the trans as it cuts the power down to control wheelspin.
