Rear wheels under a 67 Camaro

Will 19x12 or 18x12 fit comfortably under a mini tubbed 67 Camaro?
If not what modifications will be necessary.

It is super tight is you plan to tuck the tires. However tucking the tires on a 67 / 8 requires a bit of work though. The wheel wells are so high it takes a 4" drop and a 27" tire to even crest the tire. So if you don't mind your panel riding over the tire, your golden. But because of the shape of the quarter panel, your going to find it difficult to stuff a 12" rim and a 335 / 345 in there.

I would look to 315s on 11" rims, or even 305s. A 325 / 20 works good if you wanted to go that big.

Like Frank stated it is a tight fit. I have 18 x 12 w/ a 335 under my 67. It has been a while since I bought the wheels and I'm not sure on the back spacing I think they are 6". I will have to look and see and also give the rear end overall length (9" ford). I know, I know, it needs to be lowered a bit.

19x11

So if I understand you guys correctly, I should go with a 19x11 or 18x1 on the back? They should fit sweetly without any mods besides the mini tubs.

I think your ride height is perfect. Besides, as you add more weight while finishing the car, it should come down a little.

That's what it sounds like to me. I run an 18x10 with no tubs, so I'm sure you can get an 18x11 in there with tubs. You'll just need to check your back spacing.

I found my information on my wheels and rearend. The wheels are 18 x 12 w/ 6.5" BS, and the rearend is 57" rotor to rotor (wheel mounting surface).

Jeff,
Did you have to roll the quarter lips?

My outer wheel well lips were already rolled when I bought the car. I would suggest doing it though.
