twist machine fender braces
has anyone used twist machines fender braces on a 79-81 f-body, i just recently bought them and they seem to be too tall no matter where i try to bolt them they hit the hood. it's almost like i have to notch the fenders for them to fit right, any suggestions

so how did you make out? i have gotten 4 sets and they always fit perfect, did you buy them direct or thru a dealer? give steve a ring hes is more then helpful and will make it right.

i bought them from classic industries, i'm thinking they might have sent me the wrong set (for 67-69). if you have a pic of the set for 70-81 that would be a great help and if someone has a pic of them installed

Alicia,
2nd gen core support bars measure 16 inches from bolt center to bolt center. 1st gen bars measure 18.25 inches. These are OE specs and our bars follow the OE specs. A flexible measuring tape will help you measure your bars. Sounds like they shipped you a set of 1st gen bars by accident. Feel free to give us a call if you need any further assistance. Beautiful car!! |
