Dumped my Bike

It had been raining. I was going to fast around a sweeping curve and the bike started to get squirrly and I grabbed WAY to much front brake and the bike went out from under me. I ended up in trama. The only damage I recieved was my gear getting torn up, my left leg is all road rash, my left knee is sprained, and the rest of my body is just sore. I am very lucky.
So just a reminder to everyone who rides, Be Careful.

Jeff

That's why I don't ride on the street. Pavement hurts!!

Hope your not stiff and sore for long!

I almost wiped out myself yesterday. I got caught in a t-storm and the wind was blowing pretty good. Glad to see you're OK though.

It's a good thing you weren't wearing shorts and flip flops like I've seen some do, :_paranoid .

Glad you're ok.

That sucks, lucky it looks like you had some gear on.

Ever take a riding class? Not trying to be a dick but it makes all the difference in the world. About 15 years ago I was riding a super rare Ducati F1 and went down pretty hard. I caught a plastic bottle under my rear tire when I hit the rear brake. It felt like I was rear ended. I slid for 30 feet with no gear. OUCH!!

After I wisened up and took a class and got my license. I was blown away at what I didn't know and what after I was able to do with the bike. Scary that I actually thought I knew what I was doing before. Seeing the guys riding full dressers navigating the cones at low speeds in the advanced class was an eye opener.

Be smart get educated and wear gear!!

Wow, that's crazy.
Glad you're not hurt too bad. It can get tricky out there when it rains.
Hope you get well soon.

I have never taken a class. I have thought about it. Cost was a factor for me. But now I am seriously considering.
