Project American Heroes 2 - 1969 Camaro
Route 66 Motorsports and Super Chevy Magazine have again teamed up to build a car that will benefit the men and women of our armed forces. This will be the second car completed for this purpose of raising awareness and funds for the active troops and the Armed Forces Foundation.
http://rt66motorsports.com/images/red_pah2.jpg The P.A.H. II car was created using a “rough” 1969 Camaro that was worked over by the crew at Route 66. Helping to push the car and the project into reality is Ed Zinke of Super Chevy and the enthusiasms of Bill Jelinek of Route 66 fame. Working from a set of renderings created by Eric Brockmeyer, every inch of the car will be massaged and reworked into something that Gearheads and car lovers dream about. The drawings will be used in a contest to select the final colors and design. Voting will be done by the soldiers themselves and the completed car will be raffled off for their benefit. The final vote for the color of the car was tallied June 15th and only 4 months has been allotted to complete the transformation from junk to jewel. We have posted videos and a complete project gallery on our website. Please stop by and check them out! http://rt66motorsports.com/pah2.htm |
