New member here. My name is Chris and I live in Michigan.

My dad, brother, and I picked up a new project car.

Its a 1964 Buick Skylark. Its an original 6 cyl. car that has an early 70's Buick 350 in it. Interior is pretty rough but the body is awesome. Just a tiny bit of surface rust on the rear trunk lid but everything else is really solid. Even underneath the car is pretty rust free.

The plan now is to get it running (its been in storage for 10 yrs.) and slowly start going the "pro-touring" route. Start out with some new wheels/tires, 18's in front and 20's in the back, lowering it, 4 wheels disc brakes, and eventually a new drivetrain. Just make a nice cruiser out of it.

The 4 wheel drum brakes are shot so we are currently looking for a nice 4 wheel disc brake setup. I have Baer brakes on my Mustang but they are a little over our budget for this car. Anybody have any suggestions on a lower price alternative?

Thanks and nice site!

Chris

Getting closer to hitting the streets. Just have to put the interior in, hook up the rest of the air suspension, and some misc. stuff.

Man, that looks GREAT! I love Buicks, my first car was a '75 Skylark. Buicks are often overlooked but yours will definitely get some attention!
