just got a 69 camaro
 

so i just got a 69 camaro locally that was originally a /6 car 3spd column (first owned by an elderly lady) from a guy who was going to drop a 572 into it but the engine got stolen.

so my question is what would be a good engine and tranny to drop in this car. im looking for a realible engine but with power. the rear is a 10bolt but not sure what gears are in it (if anyone knows what was standard for /6 car rear ends that'd help) also would like to keep it manual and possibly a small block.

really can't go wrong with a LS1/T56 combo. If your pockets are a little deeper then step it up to one of the other LSx motors.
