New Coy's wheels rub the caliper. help.

Like it says. Can I grind/file the "bump" on the outside of the caliper? How far can i safely go?

Any help is appreciated.

Which wheels, and what brakes are they?

The wheels are Coy's C-55's 18x7 front 18x8 rear. Front disc brakes. The calipers look different from left to right. The pass side has a larger raised area around the perimeter. Local mechanic says they look like early corvette calipers. I did the grinding last night. Just needed 1/8" to make it work. No I notice the rears rub the lip. Time to get rolling. Anybody in TX have a lip roller for rent?http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...091808_002.jpg
