Knock sensor???
 

Where is the knock sensor generally located? And is it something that can be replaced/repaired easily?

Depending what engine yes and no. On an lt1 its right in front of the starter, on lsx in the valley between the heads underneath the intake manifold.

My buddy has a Chevy 350 out of a 95 Silverado. Any idea where it wold be on that engine?

Most likely on the DS side of the block near the oil pan rail, mid length on the block.
