Need Ideas?

Here is a unmolested California 1969 I just purchased. Original blue plate on the back of the car. How ironic my name is Mick on the plate it is MIK!!!! It has been in storage for quite awhile he said. It retains all its original sheetmetal including the hood. Floors, trunk, qtrs, fenders just surface rust only. Get this: its a 3sp. on the floor with the original 6 cyl. Massive power !!!! Looking for ideas....I am leaning towards the pro-touring arena????? Thanks I have a few photos attached.

If you can't get any ideas here on your own....check your pulse.

First, you suck! looks like a great find. I didn't think any thing like that still existed. Where I live it would have rusted away by now. As for ideas originality is going to be hard to come by those cars have been done so many ways it would be hard to come up with a new look. Just be sure of what you do and do it right no short cuts or half-ways. Remember "Quality, Time, Expense" If you want quality cheap it will take time, if you want quality fast it's gonna cost, if you want cheap fast there is no quality.

Cool, looks like a great car to start with. What do you want the car to do?

You have a nice starting point. As stated above, it's hard to be original with a '69 Camaro. Just build it the way you envision it since you're the one that has to like it in the end. At least there's a whole lotta parts to choose from.

I have a ton of ideas...however I think it's important that you build your car exactly the way you envision it. Might I suggest you start by figuring out what you want most. I.E. smooth ride, pavement curler, corner carver, etc. and build on it from there. Think about the over all look and feel that you like about different cars. What grabs your attention? What makes you say WTF when you look at others?

It will all come together and you'll have plenty of time to refine it. Looks to be an awesome car for a killer project! Have fun and post lots of pictures!!

There wasn't another one of those in that storage unit was there??

First off, thanks for all the input. I have sold and restored alot of these cars and I just generate $$$ out of them and they are gone. So with that in mind this one will be the keeper I am 39 yrs. old and want to build it the way I want for drivability. Since it is not a Z or SS just a base camaro is perfect. I want all the modern drivetrain like the pro-touring projects on here. Detroit Speed front and rear. Not sure on the mini-tub. An LS7 or 9. Tremec 5sp. rack and pinion. 18" intro's. dropped lower to the ground. I absolutely admire some of the 1969 projects on this site. So many things to think about and not sure where to start.
I am currently restoring a matching #'s 1970 Chevelle SS 454/450 LS6 W/build sheet documents. So this will be my next project for myself when that is complete.
