Hello From Ohio
Hello everyone. I wanted to introduce myself as I am a new member of this site. My name is Nick and I am the owner of a restoration and customizing shop out here in Ohio. I recently purchased a 1978 Trans Am and have plans to turn it into a full out PT monster. It will be very similar to the current "Bandit III" edition T/A's being made by the folks at Year One, but will have quite a few of my own special touches. I'm sure it will be a long process as I have to fit this project into my schedule. We all know how it goes, we always have time for other peoples rides and never seem to have enough for our own. Anyway, I hope to do the transformation in stages and end up with a somewhat unique and awesome ride. I have been a huge fan of taking these old cars and making them new and ultra-modern for years now. Hopefully now I'll finally have a PT ride of my own instead of just building them for others. I'm sure this site is going to be a very useful tool for me during the build process.
Thank You, Nick from Mid West Classics & Customs |
Welcome to the sickness. :D

Hello From Ohio
Thanks for the welcome guys. Todd, if I'm ever in Vegas, I'd love to come bye and see that Beast your building.
My new projects tentative name is going to be "My Turn" because it's my turn (I hope) to have a cool ride. I'll post some pics when it arrives at my shop. I've always been so close to building a custom of my own but it has never seemed to work out. For some reason or another, circumstances always seemed to dictate that I had to sell the cars I planned on building. I've had (3) '67 Camaro convertibles, (5) '69 Camaro's of which 2 were convertibles, (2) '68 Firebird 400 ragtops, T/A's, Z28's, Monte Carlo SS, etc, etc. You get the picture. I was only able to build one of those '69 Camaros to completion for myself and I went the wrong route with it. I restored the car to an as-built showroom condition #'s car and then was afraid to drive it for fear of hurting it's value. That was back in 1995 and I swore from that day on I would never build another trailer queen for myself. I hope this new project is here to stay and I get to build and enjoy it. I also have a basket case '69 Firebird convertible in my shop that is going to be a project for me and my son. He's young and we have a lot of time for that car so it's going to be one wild ride when it's finished. I forgot to include a link to my website. It's still under construction so don't rip me too bad guys. Give me some feedback on it as well. www.m-w-c-c.com Thanks for the warm welcome, Nick |
