ISIS Intelligent Multiplex Wiring Interview / Demo SEMA 2008
Here's our interview with Jay Harris from ISIS who demonstrates their ISIS Intelligent Multiplex wiring system... the same that is found on the One Lap Camaro. Wiring a car can be a pain, especially chasing down shorted circuits and troubleshooting. ISIS came up with the Intelligent Multiplex System which sends a digital signal to each item in the car, and triggers them to behave in a pre-programmed way. This allows you to program your switches in the dash to do things never before possible, trouble shoot the system with no tools, save weight, increase security, and reduce dangerous sparks and fire hazards. The video is long but it still only scratches the surface of the capabilities of the system.

Wow...that was more information than I can handle in one sitting. Very cool product.
Thanks Kevin and Kelly(I usually forget about Kelly). Also, thanks for all the V8 tv segments. You guys do one hell of a job. David |
Yup, that is one cool neat product, but I think for me an AAW kit will do me just fine.
|
Kevin How much??

Very cool!! I like how you can control everything from the touch screen. you could eliminate all the switches and just run the car through that? very slick setup.

Thanks guys, I don't know the actual retail of the system, but I'll try to find out.

I'm just wondering if you have to use your existing harness to wire into the unit, or if it comes with the necessary wiring to go from the box to the lights, etc.

before the vid i was pretty sure i was gonna use isis but not im dead set on useing it! thats for the vid!

Like he says, if this was for a Motor Coach (Bus) It could be the best thing out. In my car I am using all original stuff, so the AAW kit is already made up perfectly. If I was going with a lot of aftermarket gauges, lights and other stuff then this would be a nice peice since you would be making all new wiring harneses already it would not take any more time. |
