Just finished my ride, thankyou all for the inspiration!
Lateral-G members,
First and foremost, thanks to Scott for putting this website together and giving us all a chance to see each other's rides. I ran across this site about 3 years ago and the cars here were directly responsible for giving me the inspiration to start own my project. Coming back here weekly helped me to finally finish it. So after 2.5 years, I have finally completed my '69 Camaro G-machine. With the exception of the final paint, I'm proud to say I did the whole thing myself in my garage. I have a website for the car here: www.69CamaroProject.com Besides saying thank you, I also wanted to somehow give back to the Camaro and G-machine communities by recording my experiences and unsponsored and unbiased opinions about my build and each product I used and passing that information along to the next guy. So I hope the website does that. The other aim of my site is to make some new friends and share experiences. Hopefully I'll be able to meet up with some of you at the local car shows, shake your hand, and share some stories. Again, thanks to all of you for sharing your photos and car specs on this site, and also for sharing such great information in these forums. Chris Robinson [email protected] |

Wow, thanks for all the great feedback guys. I really appreciate it. Your words about 'not going over the top' and a 'blend of the old and new' is exactly what i was shooting for, so I'm glad it's giving off that vibe. I went back and forth about paint jobs, interior modifications, etc, and realized that many modifications just look different, not better. I wanted to keep the nostalgic look as much as possible without too much flare, so I'm stoked to hear your comments. Thanks!
