5th Gen Nickey Camaro Coming Soon!!!

http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...ne/NICKEY1.jpg

I thought I'd post this up here to help get the word out about the new 5th Gen Nickey Camaros that will be available very soon. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Stefano Bimbi and Dennis Barker on their new 5th Gen Concept. They had seen some of my work in Popular Hot Rodding and decided they wanted to work with me on their Nickey Camaro - special thanks to Steve Rupp for forwarding my contact info over! For now I worked with them closely in dialing in the details on the rendering. Once they have a car I will also be working directly with Stefano, Dennis, and the prototype/tooling development company in dialing in the composite parts. Anyways, here's a little from info on their Camaros from Mr. Bimbi on the direction of the Nickey Camaros.

We are proud to be offering 2010 Nickey Camaros, based on the 5th Generation Platform.

All of the details are not set in stone, at this time, as this is a work in progress.

However; We do have most of the details for the Stage I, Stage II and Stage III Conversion Packages dialed in.

Stage I: Mild Modifications to the Stock LS3

Stage II: Completely reworked LS3, (Stock V8 used in the Camaro).

Stage III: This is a complete new/different LS7 427ci transplant.

We have established a Dealer Network, in order to fulfill Customer Orders, in one of two ways.

We have dealers who feel confident that they will promptly receive Camaro inventory for Stock; Method One, will be from off their showroom Floors.

These dealers will at some point, in the future have Nickey Camaros in stock and ready for delivery.

The second Method is that you will be able to place a SOLD order, through one of these Dealers and then have your car built to your specs, off the Nickey Option Sheets.

We will be anouncing all the participating Network Dealers and will also list the specs and pricing, as soon as we have them available.

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I will do my best to answer them.

Regards,

Stefano Bimbi

That's awesome. Congratulations!
The only thing I can say I'm not completely sold on is the "Nickey" badge where the bowtie should be. Other than that I think it's great. I wouldn't have thought of it before, but that scoop looks at home on the car.

From what I hear, more details pertaining to engine options may be announced this weekend at Chevy Vettefest in Chicago.

I like it but I thought the K under the hockey stick stripe should be facing the other way like the others. Mustang has come out with a bunch of special editions, it would be nice to see some "new modern" Yenkos, COPOs, Bergers & Nickey Camaros.

WOW!!! Not crazy about the nickey logo in the grill, like someone said in a previous post.
That would be awesome. When would we know if/when these beasts will be available? Can you walk into any Chevy dealership and place an order on one with any option you wanted?
As far as drivetrain, will there be a 6 speed manual tranny and a LS7 engine combo, ( which I would assume.)?
There was a write up on this on www.supercarregistry.com as well, which I had read in full.
Sorry about so may questions, just eager to know more about this. THANKS!!
