Reputable body shop in Ohio/Michigan/Indiana/Illinois
Who do you guys recommend for body work?

From the looks of that rocker installation, I'd say start looking for a REbuilder, one with a good reputation. It also looks like, if I saw that right, that there is some rust down there with paint and filler over it. If this is what was done right there where you can easily see it, imagine what you can't see!
I have some examples in my shop of what bad work consists of. I have a patch of a lower rear quarter. It is 3 layers of scrap metal thick complete with bondo and some sort of tar that was also applied liberally throughout the rest of the car. The rear floor pans were old campaign signs and more bondo and tar. Just make sure the guy that did the work that i am describing didn't work on your car too! If you are in Az or close, you could bring the car by and we could look at it. You could always just drive it but then you might lose the desire due to your awareness of bad work. It will eat at you until it has been corrected. Remeber why you have this car in the first place, it's an avenue to happiness. Don't let shoddy work ruin that! You should always be ecstatic to jump in and cruise. Whichever route you chose, above all, have fun! Micah Prudhomme Concept Fabrication and Custom Conceptfab.net <-- better site coming soon... |
The body mount bolt has no frame bushing and looks cross threaded as well. Not pretty...hope you get it all straightened out.
