Possible mass produced LS Headers for DSE Subframe
1 Attachment(s)
Latest copy of Super Chevy continues the build up of the American Heroes Camaro. They installed the Hooker Super Comp LS swap headers on the car inside a DSE sub.
Headers are round port and 1 3/4. However the magazine says the car has a LS7 but they are only talking about the block. The pic I included shows the Weiand intake and 225 heads. Price is 660 ceramic coated, about 100 less for paint. Also included are the collectors and O2 bungs. Does the difference in angle between the Gen III/ Gen IV heads and the LS7 heads have any impact on the external surface the header flange would mount to? Or is the difference only in the angle of the valves inside the combustion chamber? |
the LS7 exhaust port is different than LS1/2

Yes, I know. LS7s and L98/LS3 heads have D ports while the others are round.
The issue I am talking about is the valve angle. LS7 heads are 12 degree and LS3/L98s/ LS1-6 are 15 degree. My question is does the valve angle have have any bearing on the external surface of the head that the header flange will mount to? Obviously if it does have bearing than it would change the way LS headers fit different heads. I don't think it does have any bearing ( I think the angle is referrring to the angle the valves are oriented to the combustion chamber), i just want to be sure. Thanks, Jim |

Thanks. I'm gonna run a 1 7/8 header instead on the LS7.
