Just feeling kinda down guys

I lost my job as of yesterday, i hated working there and they knew it. I have a couple jobs in the wing just waiting on a call back.

Thankfully i finished all of my Xmas shopping and i have a few bucks saved up, but jeez the feeling of not having a job to go to and feeling like a slob with no job just plain sucks.

I see the Mrs. go to work everyday and i'm still in bed, and it sucks to see that happen the last couple days.

Sorry, just had to rant a bit.

Sorry to hear that. Everything happens for a reason.

Eric,
we all know this is a bad time of year for that type of thing, but don't sweat it. Enjoy a few days off, then go over (in person) and talk to the supervisors at the jobs you are inquiring about. If they say they haven't made a decision yet, come back the next day! Believe me, nothing shows initiative more than you being persistent!

Cheer up, enjoy yourself, and have a merry Christmas!

And I almost forgot.... With all of that free time, don't spend too much of it over here, or you'll become an addict. :D

I'm still looking for a twelve step program to ease the cravings!

Wow, sorry to hear that and I'm glad you were smart enough to have something else lined up. I'm with the others on this one, it may be pretty crappy right now but things do happen for a reason and now you have the opportunity to move onto something better for yourself and your family.

P.S. I've only been "let go" once in my life and it was when I was 22 and I worked for Best Buy. I was leaving work on a Sun after a meeting around 11pm. We had a bunch of seasonal new hires all hanging around their hondas and revving at me when I pulled out in my Black 67 Malibu, so I did the allmighty 300 ft burnout for all to see like a mororn and got "let go" because of it. Hope that cheers you up

Hey sorry to hear that man. At my age I cannot relate or understand your state at all, but I wish you the best of luck and seems like you got things in order. May the new year bring a new beginning.

While the timing really sucks, you know the big picture. I don't know if you want to tell the guys what your major is, but you know this is probably more of a huge inconvenience than anything. I'm not downplaying this at all, but it wasn't like you were going to make a career there.

LoL, good point scott, they knew i wasnt going to stay long, it was a matter of time... possibly days as i waited to hear back from my other jobs. I just didnt want to end it like this.

Anyways, i have a BA in Psychology and i'm half way through my Masters in Psychology as well, so yea... Autoparts wasnt my choice of careers ;)

Sorry about that,

I was laid off two years ago, they just simply closed the shop down and about 75 people was out of job. The last day at work was just the days before X-mas so it sucked for us all.

We got the message 3 months in advance so it was no sudden surprise, but it sucked to go there for so long time knowing we had to leave.

Anyway I started my own consulting business and that was the best thing I ever have done (except buying my Camaro)

From other downpoints in life I have learned that how dark life might look it is always light at the end of the tunnel. Things will eventually become better, probably sooner or later. With your education you know it better than most of us probably.

Have a enjoyable holiday season and think of all the time you can have with your family.
