Help finding the correct wheel size

Time to spend the load on rims and tires. I have a 70 Camaro with a stock 12 bolt rear end, with wilwood brakes on the rear. Up front i have tubular upper and lower control arms, stock spinndles and wilwood brakes. I also have Qa1's all the way arround. There are no alterations to the body at all. I'd like to put 20's on the rear and 18's or 19's on the front. Please give me your thoughts. THK's:hail:

The big thing is fitment.

Fitment deends on a lot of things. What look / stance your looking for? What tires are available in sets in the size stance you want. For example you may find a 20' / 18" combo in wheels you like only to find out there is no match pair of fronts and rears tires with good aspect ratios.

The single biggest mistake one makes when doing wheel / tire set ups is screwing up the overall height / sidewall. Say for example you choose a 20" wheel and a 27" tall tire for the rear on a 10" wheel with 3" of lip.

Now on the front you do a 18" wheel. You need a 25" or less tire for the front. If you go taller then 25", say 26", the front tire wheel package will look taller then the rear, even if the package is actually a inch shorter. Add to that the more shallow lip on the front tire that already is going to make the front tire look taller then the rear, and you have a really bad look.

So now the trick with 20s and 18 is finding a brand that has the sizes you need for front and rear. And when you do find them, you may find they are only available in really expensive brands. For example PS2s are pretty complete in these sizes, but hella expensive!

I could go on and on, and type my fingers off, but I talk much better then I type. So here is where we end up talking on the phone, figuring out what look / stance / budget / style you are into and do some searching to put a package together.

So if you want to call, it is free.
