'69 Dodge R/T wheel size question-Mike from Mod Muscle?

I just got a '69 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible. I am still learning about the car. I really know nothing about MOPARS. I am keeping it stock, but would love to fit some big wheels/tires under it. I only want direct bolt on options. The rear wheel wells are HUGE! I would love 20" rear, and 18" front. WIth as wide as I can go in rear.

1. Can anyone here tell me what I can get away with. Specifics please.. (ie backspacing, etc.) pics would be awesome!
2. what is the bolt pattern on these cars. I think 5 x 4???

Mike S. from Modern Muscle, I know u can answer this.

On my '68 Road Runner I was able to fit 305/40/18s (10" wheel) on the rear without any issue. I ran 5.5" BS which gives me about 1/2" clearance with the outer fender and 1.5" clearance to the leaf spring.

On the fronts I'm running a 255/45/18 (9" wheel) with 4.5" BS. There is a minor issue with rubbing the frame rail on the passenger side at full lock.

I was told I could run 275s on the front but decided I didn't want to go that large.

This information right here is pretty much right on the money. With that front tire though, I think I would have suggested an 8" wide wheel to go with that 255 so the side wall bulge would better match the 10" wheel on the back with the 305. Nitto makes a killer street drag radial in 305/40/18 and 305/35/20. FYI. We sell Nitto, and Rushforth Wheels in all of the sizes that would fit your car if you are interested. Let me know if I can help with these, or any of our brands. 866-694-5940.
