Clutch Master cylinder question with new Ring Bros Reservoir

Hey Guys, I just got the Ring Bros billet reservoir, and it looks simple to install, but my question is, Staci at RB told me that I had to use the rubber boot on the inside. What rubber boot is she referring too? Also do I have to seal the threads with teflon tape for the hose clamp into the brass fitting?

Thanks guys.

probably the rubber boot that goes on the factory plastic screw on cover
yes, use thread sealant for the pipe threaded brass nipple

First, Teflon tape is not a thread sealer, it works but not the "corect" thing to use. But you dont need to use anything on the side of the fitting that connects to the rubber hose except a good clamp. If you are speaking about the threads that go into the reservoir then yes use a thread sealer. Is it a NPT fitting?

Hey guys thanks. I'm not sure, it's just a rubber hose with a clamp for the hydro fluid line. What would work best for a thread sealer? Want me to take a picture of it just in case?
Thanks again guys.

As long as it doesn't leak, it's fine, the fluid isn't under any type of pressure there.

any thread sealent, i prefer rector seal, or napa has a liquid teflon sealant as well, i would put some on the nipple threads, install, clean excess, then just clamp rubber hose on, as mark said there is no pressure there.
