Hello All!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to drop a line-I just signed up here, been at PT.com for awhile. Just starting the rebuild(built the first time when i was 17) of my 1965 Nova 2 dr hardtop. I am building a full chassis-C4 suspension, some subtle and not-so-subtle body mods. And the real odd part of the build is the motor choice. To be different.....I am building a Vortec 4200 inline 6. It will be 500-600 HP when done. I was initially thinking turbo(for driveability) but NA is an option. Still undecided on tranny-I have been thinking 6 speed-but a paddle shifted 4L80E would be really cool too. Any ideas, criticisms would be welcomed. Greg |
Welcome to the site, Greg. You said you were west of Mankato - I have family out that way. What town are you in? Do you own a shop out there?
|
I am in Madelia for the time being. Ttrying to find a place to put up a new shop and home. I have a small business called G Custom Rides. I am in the process of building my Nova, a '53 Buick with my friend, an '88 Fiero for myself, along with a shoptruck. I have built cars in the past and am working towards doing it full time-still a ways off but geting there. The last car I built was a 1950 Chevy that won MSRA Custom of the year last year. Kris Horton is doing a rendering of my Nova and I will show you when I get it(waiting impatiently like a kid for X-Mas):P

Madelia... not far from Malfunction Junction. lol My in-laws are north of Fairmont.
Do you have any pics of that truck? Odds are good that I've seen it. |
Truck
Scott,
Truck?? My shop truck? The 1950 Chevy was a 2 dr hardtop. I am really close to your family. I drive through Fairmont everyday to goto work. Small world it is(best Yoda voice)! Greg |
The truck that won the MSRA Custom of the Year award.
Yep, very small world! Where do you work? |
Small world
I work in Armstrong, IA at this time-althought thedrive is killing me. The '50 that won was a car. My shoptruck is boring....right now.
