Kansan in the house

Hello I didnt see this section till tonight so I will intro my self now. I am an old school street racer from the 70's and 80's turned business owner now. I own High Torque RAcing Auto Body & Paint. We are in Meriden Kansas just a few miles from KC and Topeka Kansas. I do alot of restoration style work on older cars and also a high quality insurance repairs as well. I have a clientell list of high end cars that followed me to the new location. Rest assured your car at my shop gets repaired correctly. My website is www.mrbuick.com and if you want to just look at the cars we are done with look here http://mrbuick.com/CUSTOMERS.htm

So as for myself I have the same car I have had since 1977 its a 70 GS455 4 speed car now turned into a 535CI buick powered street legal go fast machine. Weighing in around 3850 lbs this fully interiored full exhaust to the rear car runs very low 10's closing the 135 mph mark. My wife races also, she runs a totally stock cold stock looking 70 GS Stage 1 that runs 12.70's @over a 100 on sticky tires. And then you know the rest of the stuff 3 dogs, 8 cars 1 harley, been married 26 years, 2 kids, bla bla bla.

I will have to post some shots later. Or on my website you can see some of my cars there as well

I have been going to the Buick GS Nationals in Bowling Green KY for about 25 years now and back in the early 80s I was informed of a new secret weapon. That was what took me from a street tire frier to leaving the line on the street with the left tire in the air. ALmost took a second off my ET. The company was M&H and the 275 60 15 strret legal tire was now my friend. BTW I was the first in town with a set. ANd MAN all summer all people wanted to do was be able to leave on me... Then the party was over, I got busted with them on. Not by the police but a very smart and aware street racer. They all of a sudden were on every car in town. SO I had to build a bigger engine, then a bigger one. Finally this engine in my car was buillt in the mid 80's by several people, and at one point was featured as "Buzilla" in a car magazine. I bought it from a guy in florida. He told me it would just tear up my car it made to much power..... Yea right like I would believe that..... However no longer is it in its original form the "buzilla" engine lasted the longest in my car making over 500 runs and countless street races. ...... I broke the crank in it awhile back and it takes forever to get one built by moldex. I just dropped the new one off in Eureka kansas yesterday to my machinist. SO"Buzilla" will run again soon.

I have raced at Wichita KS, KCMO, Kearney NE, Pueblo CO, Manhattan KS, and Nobile OK as well. If Im ever there come over and say hey. :unibrow:

You can see some of the runs Ive had for the last couple years I posted them on YouTube. Heres one of them
