I have business trip to Melbourne coming up in 2 weeks. Anything specific I need to put on my to do list while I'm there? Is VB the official state beer? Is Aussie Rules Football in season?

Jim, aussie rules hasnt quite started yet , all pre season stuff. Well VB is 'victoria bitter' so it is the official beer but maybe try the others , tooheys new:thumbsup: and plenty of others.
Get outa melbourne city and head to st kilda and surrounds . Should be some shows and swaps on around if you do some searchin' .

Thanks for the info, Wade. I think our hosts have some local stuff on the schedule with the possibility of catching a pre-season Aussie rules game on the 6th.

The weather alone will be worth the 24 hour flight!

Exactly what dates are you here, what do you like to do? Bars or sight seeing? Got the football sorted which is good. Holden head office is in Melbourne, they have concept cars on display in foyer.
VB is the big seller, pretty good beer, some other good ones to try while your here.
