semi-smooth firewall?
I want to partially smooth out the sheet metal transition on my 67 firebird and was wondering if it would be o.k to use a metal based body filler instead of seam sealer and smooth out the transition. I'm not looking for a completely smooth firewall look; just factory with a little flair. Is this a good option?
Thanks; I'll post some pics of my progress later. |
if there is a seam,it will have to be welded and ground smooth before any filler can be applied or you will be taking a chance on filler cracking

yep that's the way to do it, if you're patient enough you can weld and smooth out the welds to where you won't need any filler, but it takes time
