Manual steering with Steering Quickener?

72 Monte, front end lightened about 250# 245/60/r15 tires.

I've got a new manual steering box, 5.1 turns lock-to-lock

I'm eyeing a 1.5 Steering Quickener, which would give 3.4 turns LTL.

With a DIY welded up bracket they can be placed inline with the steering shaft.

Bad idea?

imo the steering quickener is going to make it stupid hard to turn .we used them on dirt cars but only with power steering
