This is what they came up with 40 years ago. Northrop XB-70 Valkyrie, Mach 3 cruising speed long distance strategic bomber. Never made it to production.

i personally would rather have an apache gun ship....i could land it in my yard, not have to worry about those pesky runways.

i did actually see a huey cobra gunship...minus the guns :mad: on ebay a while back..... starting bid was like $900,000... and wouldnt ya know it... i was just a lil short that week...after payin bills and all
