first gen camaro bumper
why does everyone eliminate there front bumper?

On a '69 the bumper is integrated into the front of the car. It's a part of the design. On the 67-68 is more of just "tacked onto" the front of the car. Like GM designed it and then said "oh shoot, we forgot it needed a front bumper." So some feel that removing it cleans up the front of the car. It was also popular to remove it back in the day for racing since it took quite a bit of weight off the front. Besides, the 5mph bumper is really going to help you in any sort of significant accident. |
I did it because Steve did it........

When Stielow built the Red Witch it had no front bumper. The guy he sold it to put one on. When I bought it I took it back off. It just looks better without it.
